LeafSee Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using LeafSee ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

LeafSee is a plant identification, disease diagnosis, and AI-powered plant care assistant. The Service includes:

• Plant identification from photos
• Plant disease and pest diagnosis
• Treatment plan tracking with follow-up reminders
• AI chat for plant care advice
• Plant collection management and care reminders

Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities under your account. You may use the Service as a guest with limited features; creating an account unlocks full functionality.

Subscriptions

LeafSee offers a Pro subscription with monthly and annual plans. Subscription details:

• Payment is processed by Google Play (and Apple App Store when available) via RevenueCat.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Google Play Store → Subscriptions.
• Annual plans include a 7-day free trial. If you cancel during the trial, no charge applies.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy.

Fair Use Policy

Pro subscription features are described as "unlimited" to indicate that there is no per-use charge. However, to ensure service quality and manage third-party API costs, all plans are subject to fair use limits:

• Plant identification: up to 50 scans per day
• Disease diagnosis: up to 10 diagnoses per day
• AI chat: up to 100 messages per day

These limits are set well above typical personal use and are designed to prevent automated or abusive access. When fair use limits are reached, the Service may temporarily delay or decline requests. Limits may be adjusted at any time without prior notice.

The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension:

• Automated scripts, bots, or scrapers accessing the Service
• Sharing a single account among multiple users
• Reselling or redistributing identification results or AI responses as a commercial service
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract API keys or proprietary models

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on others' rights
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to access another user's data

User Content

You retain ownership of photos and messages you submit. By submitting content, you grant LeafSee a license to process it for identification, diagnosis, and AI responses. We do not use your photos to train external models. Your content is stored securely and is not shared with third parties beyond the minimum necessary for API processing (e.g., sending a photo to Plant.id for identification).

AI Accuracy Disclaimer

Plant identification, disease diagnosis, and AI chat responses are generated by machine learning models and may not always be accurate. LeafSee is an informational tool and does not constitute professional botanical or agricultural advice. Always consult a qualified expert for critical decisions. We are not liable for any loss resulting from reliance on the Service's output.

Intellectual Property

LeafSee, including its name, logo, design, treatment templates, and software, is the property of its developer. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without permission. Plant identification results and care data are provided for your personal use only.

Termination

You may stop using LeafSee and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive usage. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 24 hours.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that identification or diagnosis will be accurate, complete, or available at all times. Service availability may be affected by maintenance, third-party API outages, or fair use throttling.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeafSee and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of LeafSee after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
